Naturally Resilient Communities

NRC is an interactive guide of nature-based solutions that use natural systems, mimic natural processes, or work in tandem with traditional approaches, to address specific hazards like flooding and erosion. The site is a partnership of the American Planning Association, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Association of State Floodplain Managers, the National Association of Counties, The Nature Conservancy and Sasaki.

  • The guide explores 30 different types of nature-based solutions and 23 case studies.  Searches can be set by region, hazard type, community type, scale, and cost.
