Contemporary Challenges in Urban Forestry - From Theory to Practice BC Recreation and Parks Association Mar 2, 2017 : 12:00 am to 11:45 pm

From strategic planning, to implementation, this interactive session focuses on the realities of implementing urban forestry plans on the site level, including forestry/tree management, and tree planting. The purpose will be to investigate some of the challenges in terms of the realities of daily practice, through a Q&A leading to a participatory exercise. Participants will be fully engaged in this session and will have an opportunity to sharing their experiences with other delegates.

Presenter Aidan ffrench is a past president of The Irish Landscape  Institute (ILI) (2005-07), the professional body representing landscape architects in Ireland.  He is currently chair of the ILI’s Working Group on Blue-Green Infrastructure.
