Donohoe Design is looking to hire a full time, experienced Landscape Architect who is resourceful, inquisitive, conscientious, driven, personable, and has superior problem-solving skills.
For a decade, Donohoe Design has been creating gardens for higher-end single family homes throughout the Greater Vancouver area. Our focus is to develop architecturally strong, multi-sensory gardens that are empathetic to the client’s needs. We take the time to build trusting relationships with our clients to ensure that we create a fresh, unique design that connects our clients to their landscape.

- A university undergraduate or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or an equivalent design field.
- 5-10 Years’ experience
- Excellent computer skills with Vectorworks or autoCAD, Sketch-Up (or alternative 3D modeling program such as 3D Max or Lumion) and the Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to create construction drawing packages that include: drainage, grading and construction details
- Excellent zone 2-7 plant knowledge
- Past experience maintaining landscapes
- Experience with cost estimating and fee budgeting
- Familiarity with municipal permitting practices
- Project management experience and thorough knowledge of materials and landscape construction practices
- A communicative, affable personality with the ability to lead client and contractor meetings
- A dynamic and adventurous approach to design
- Overseas studies or work experience is warmly welcomed
