Parks and Landscape Planner

The City of Kelowna is seeking an experienced Parks & Landscape Planner to join us in leading the development of a safe, vibrant, and sustainable city. By providing high quality public parks, constructing resilient and sustainable infrastructure, and creating urban environments with a strong sense of space, the City will build strong communities.

Join us at an exciting time in the development of Kelowna’s parks portfolio and help mold the city you live in!  We are looking for a talented and committed individual to lead a variety of landscape projects within our multi-disciplinary planning team. Broad experience in landscape architecture and the public environment, playground design, neighborhood and community parks, recreational facilities, beaches, linear parks, and environmentally sensitive areas will be fundamental to leadership in the planning of public spaces that support the City vision. This position will lead projects through planning and design phases in a wide spectrum of park types.

The City of Kelowna has a COVID vaccination policy that requires all staff to be fully vaccinated as a condition of hire and ongoing employment.

Education: 

Applicants need a university degree in Landscape Architecture and must be eligible for registration with the BCSLA as a Landscape Architect.

Experience:
