BCIT is offering another section of Urban Forest Assessment using i-Tree software. The Urban Forest Assessment course will provide training for the assessment of urban trees and forests and calculation of their contributions to CO2 reduction, storm water management and other ecological services including building energy savings.
The course will consist of 8 hours of online learning and 16 hours of combined classroom and field work. Online components will be self-directed and completed over a three week period. Field work studies will be completed face to face on campus over a weekend.
Online components begin January 27th. Face to face field sessions run 8:30-4:30 on February 22nd and 23rd (Saturday-Sunday) at BCIT Burnaby. For more details visit http://www.bcit.ca/renr1050 or see attached flyer. This course is eligible for 2 credits at BCIT, and ISA CEUs.
