We're seeking a seasoned Landscape Architect who's eager to solve meaningful problems and create beautiful, functional, and engaging public spaces. What you'll be doing:
- Diving deep into public space and climate adaptation projects (because the world needs more of both)
- Collaborating with a team of passionate professionals to create spaces that matter
- Leading large scale public space projects.
- Involved in all aspects of a project from site analysis and conceptual design through to contract admin.
- Give (and take) feedback like a champ.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
The ideal candidate:
- Has an insatiable intellectual curiosity
- Sets a high bar for their own work and knows how to get things done
- Can evaluate what makes a place truly successful
- Is driven to see projects through to completion
- Has a knack for invention and understanding how things work
- Isn't afraid of clients or telling them what they might not want to hear
- Has verbal communication and reasoning skills
- A knowledge/expertise in ecology is a bonus.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture
- 10+ years of experience in the field
- Membership in the BCSLA (or eligible for membership)
- Digital literacy
- A keen eye for design and a brain for problem-solving
- a powerful intellectual curiosity
- the ability to work collaboratively in the undefined territory between disciplines.
- a solid understanding of both design theory and practical tools
- no fear of clients, or of telling clients things they might need to know but are afraid to hear
