Below is a list of Job opportunity postings for BC landscape architects, students and interns. All listings are the sole responsibility of the person or organization who posted the listing.
Please use due care and diligence when posting a job. In British Columbia, the use of the title “landscape architect(ure)" in BC is restricted to individuals who have successfully completed the BCSLA Admission Program as per the Architects (Landscape) Act. For more information, please see BCSLA Bylaws.
NB: It is the responsibility of the BCSLA Intern to seek employment that will provide the required scope of experience under the guidance of a "Qualified Mentor". In accordance with BCSLA Bylaws, “Qualified Mentor” means a Registered Landscape Architect, Landscape Architect, or other allied professional with experience, qualifications and knowledge in the area they are mentoring.
Section 2 of the Pay Transparency Act requires that salary or wage information must be included on all publicly advertised job postings. This requirement came into effect on November 1, 2023, and applies to all employers in BC. All employment listings on the BCSLA website must include salary or wage information. More details.
Postings will be automatically deleted after 60 days. We welcome you to re-post any items once they have been deleted. If you would like to remove your posting, please contact the BCSLA office. Only paid positions are posted on this page; however, volunteer positions may be included in the Friday File as space allows.
Employment postings are not automatically published to the BCSLA Friday File. Contact the BCSLA office if you would like to access that option. We have changed the format of employment opportunities in the BCSLA Friday File as there are a number of very long postings and descriptions that require our Members and Associates to scroll quite a bit. The Employment Listings will be limited to one paragraph of no more than 100 words and a link to career listing details to resolve that issue.
Job postings, on the website and in the Friday File, are complimentary for firms or public sector agencies that employ BCSLA Members and/or Associates. If you would like to purchase a career opportunity post for a firm/agency that does not employ BCSLA Members and/Associates, please consult the 2021 BCSLA Media Kit. Thank you for contributing to the success of the Society and our profession. We look forward to working with you.

The Government of Canada Job Bank Website contains a wide variety of information, including tools for job seekers (Job Alerts, Job Match); tools for employers who wish to post an employment opportunity; as well as labour market information (trends, news). Under the Labour Market Information section of the website, which allows career exploration based on different criteria, the site also offers a ink from the Career Tool to the Career Navigator quizzes.
Work BC provides a comprehensive description of close to 200 occupations as they relate directly to the BC labour market.
BCSLA is a Living Wage Employer. We encourage everyone to join the Living Wage for Families Campaign.
