Landscape Design Technologist

Position Available - Landscape Design Technologist Welcome to Kelowna, the Interior of BC’s fastest growing and largest city. Come to the Okanagan and enjoy over 2000 hours of sunshine per year, water sports on spectacular Lake Okanagan during the summer months and world class powder skiing in the winter. We are currently looking for a talented, enthusiastic and motivated individual that would complement the strengths of our small design firm. You will assist our landscape architects, senior technologist and certified irrigation designer in all aspects of our project work; have a solid understanding of the design process and good technical skills in the areas of design illustration, landscape design, construction detailing and construction inspection. In addition, you will possess the following specific skills, strengths and interests: • Strong graphic design capabilities including the ability to freehand sketch; • Ability to produce high quality work under all circumstances; • Energetic and enthusiastic and able to work to deadlines; and • Are committed to ongoing professional development You hold the following technical skills: • Proficiency with Vectorworks or equivalent cad drafting software • Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign • Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint • 3D software, visualization software such as Sketchup You have the following qualifications: • Post-secondary studies in landscape design or technology program or other technical studies program preferred. You will have strong analytical, organizational, computer and graphic communications skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
