Landscape Architecture Technologist

Our Peace Region Practice is looking to add a capable, enthusiastic Landscape Architecture Technologist to our growing professional practice. Our interdisciplinary design team is invested and committed to delivering high-quality work on exciting and challenging public realm projects that create identity and foster resilience in communities.

 

Coupled with the diverse learning and project experience opportunities, do you see yourself excited to contribute to:

  • Communicating and collaborating with internal and external project teams.
  • Reviewing and implementing municipal guidelines and standards.
  • Preparing and reviewing detailed design drawings, including custom construction details and specifications.
  • Supporting the preparation of conceptual design packages and visualizations using hand and computer rendering techniques.
  • Performing site inspections, attending construction meetings, and supporting the administration of construction contracts.
  • Identifying risks and troubleshooting potential solutions.
  • Advocating for the importance of the landscape architecture profession and assisting in raising the profile of the practice.
  • Building long-term community connections and relationships while living and working in the North.
Rate of Pay: 
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00
Education: 

Our ideal candidate is a recent graduate from a Landscape Architecture Technology program with up to 3 years of experience in landscape architecture design, production, and construction.

Experience: 

The core skills that will help you succeed here include:

  • You understand landscape design at a technical level, including planting and hardscape details.
  • You are proficient, or have the desire to become proficient, in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, LandFX, Sketchup, and other 3D modelling programs.
  • You are collaborative and appreciate diverse backgrounds.
  • You are organized and thrive in a self-directed work environment.
  • You have a strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • You demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are able to convey information to a wide variety of audiences.
  • You have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent.
