Job Description

Fora Landscape Architects is seeking an experienced landscape architect to join our team.  We are a Seattle-based design practice with over 40 years of inspiring work focused on public and private schools, sports fields, large scale housing, commercial development, parks and playgrounds. Our new studio, specifically designed by and for our team, is in the vibrant Roosevelt neighborhood, near light rail, major bus routes and I-5.

We need a person with a well-rounded grasp and a strong background in construction document production and construction observation.  Technical knowledge and excellent organizational skills are important. We are particularly interested in applicants who have sports field experience or a desire to learn more. We are looking for a collaborator and someone who really loves working in teams.

Job Requirements

Applicants must have 6+ years of professional experience and have either a bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program. In general, we are looking for the following skills, but we strive for diversity in all aspects of our work and encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.

  • Exceptional technical knowledge in construction detailing, plan documentation, specifications, irrigation, grading and drainage
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Land F/X, Office, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects
  • Experience in construction observation

    The position is for full-time employment (40 hour / week) and includes the following benefits:

    • Salary range is $85,000 to $110,000 commiserate with experience
    • 4 weeks combined PTO (Vacation/Sick Time) & 11 holidays
