BCSLA Arbutus Greenway Bike Tour
Join Kevin Connery MBCSLA, Landscape Architect for the Arbutus Greenway Project Team as he will share the City's vision to transform the railway corridor into a greenway for walking, cycling and other nonmotorized modes of transportation.
What were the challenges in developing the design? What opportunities arose while implementing ideas on the temporary path? Learn about the history of the project, the design vision for each character zone and the overall master plan.
You may bring your own bike or rent of the many Mobi bike share bikes available along the greenway for $12/24 hr pass. Please pre-register for the tour and if you need a Mobi bike you should by the pass online on September 5th before the tour. Dress appropriately for current weather conditions. The tour goes rain or shine!
The tour will start at the eastern terminus of the greenway near the corner of W 6th and Fir Street in Vancouver @ 3pm. The tour will take approximately 2.5 hours with plenty of stops of interest along the way. RSVP online by September 3, 2019.
