Contemporary Landscape Architecture Exhibition
The BCSLA Drawing on the Land 2018 team would like to thank the membership for their participation in this year’s very successful drawing exhibition. We received over 100 individual submissions to review and select from. The submissions were reviewed by our stellar selection jury which included: BCSLA President Stephen Vincent, Lindsey Fryett, Daniel Roehr, Jordan McAuley and Alexandre Man-Bourdon. Of the 100+ submissions the jury selected seven entries that best represented this year’s theme. The BCSLA and the Drawing on the Land 2018 Selection Committee would like to congratulate the following Members and Associates for their exceptional entries: Kim Perry, FCSLA, MBCSLA, Janet Rosenberg, FCSLA, MBCSLA, Eddie Wu, MBCSLA, Daniel Roehr, MBCSLA, Jaclyn Kaloczi, BCSLA Intern and Neda Roohnia, BCSLA Intern.
The selected entries were on display at this year’s BCSLA Annual Conference at the JW Marriott Parq Hotel Vancouver. The exhibition is currently in transit will be on display throughout the Lower Mainland over the coming months at locations which include: Vancouver City Hall, the AIBC Gallery and more. The exhibition will also be on display at the BCSLA Interior Regional Meeting in the Fall 2018. This exhibition featured thought provoking and intriguing drawings by BCSLA Members. This exhibition included panels from the 2009 By Hand exhibition, which showcased hand-drawn works by BCSLA Members. Showcasing a range of scales, from small gardens to large civic sites to entire mountain regions, this exhibit exemplifies the breadth and aptitude of the profession and its ability to communicate ideas for exciting landscape architectural spaces.
