PART TIME SENIOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT / MENTOR

Biophilia is seeking a part time Senior Landscape Architect to provide general oversight, drawing and specification reviews and mentorship for our developing design team.  Your role would be to review and critique submissions and more importantly to learn and grow with us. We currently have 5 landscape designers with a variety of experience including architecture, interior design, project management and landscape architecture.

Our project typologies have a diverse range include Single Family, Multifamily, Commercial and Civic. Our focus is to work on projects that respect and enhance the natural environment and that build community. We look to work with like minded professionals to achieve these goals.

While Vancouver Island is where most of our projects are situated, we also work on projects on the gulf islands, sunshine coast and are always open to working in new lands to continue to deepen our knowledge.

A typical week:

• This position would require working with your team remotely as we have some employees in Victoria and some in Vancouver. Communication with Zoom and Slack are the two platforms which we communicate most frequently.
• You would review drawing sets prior to submissions.
• Work with the team to improve and develop our drawing sets to the best possible quality.
• Sign and seal drawings for submission.
• Assist with site reviews and reports.
• Continually build upon your plant and design knowledge with the team.
• Bring your love for design and the natural word to the team and be committed to collaborate and grow with your team.
